$0.00 Despite being the most common cause of secondary hypertension, primary aldosteronism (PA) is under recognized and underdiagnosed. Untreated, PA can lead to significant cardiac, cerebrovascular, and renal complications. The purpose of this session is to familiarize an internal medicine audience - most of whom deal with hypertension and/or its end organ effects - with the recognition and management of PA. Pitfalls regarding the diagnosis of PA will be discussed as well as future directions in PA management.
