Jacob Hunter, MD

Dr. Jacob Hunter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern. Having completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Los Angeles, he earned both his medical degree, while completing his otolaryngology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then completed his Neurotology fellowship at Vanderbilt. He is board-certified in Otolaryngology, with a sub-specialization in Neurotology. He is the Dedman Family Scholar of Clinical Care at UT Southwestern, exploring the role between hearing loss, listening effort, and cognitive decline. He has published extensively with more than 60 manuscripts and several book chapters, regarding topics related to endoscopic ear surgery, cochlear implants, and vestibular schwannomas. He has presented at both national and international conferences, having been invited as a visiting professor at both national and international institutions.
