Juan Sosa, MD

Dr. Juan Sosa is the Medical Director of the Housing and Homeless Services Program at Metrocare Services, the largest provider of public mental health services in North Texas, where he oversees psychiatric care across six homeless shelters in the Dallas area. He is also an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern in the Department of Psychiatry, where he directs the Rural and Public Mental Health Track in the general psychiatry residency program. His professional interests include providing psychiatric services in public mental health systems to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, harm reduction, teaching the next generation of public psychiatrists, and working collaboratively to improve access to care for individuals experiencing homelessness.
