Rachel Beck, M.D., PGY-5 UTSW Geriatric Psychiatry Fellow

Rachel Cantu Beck, M.D., is a geriatric psychiatry fellow at UT Southwestern. Dr. Beck earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed residency training in psychiatry at UT Southwestern, where she served as a chief resident and graduated with distinction in interventional psychiatry. In 2024 she was honored as an American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry Scholar. During her final year of residency, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and selected as the John F. Hickman, M.D. Outstanding Resident in Psychiatry. She is currently expecting her first child, a baby boy due in early June 2026. After maternity leave, Dr. Beck hopes to join as a member of psychiatry faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
