Adeel Khan, M.D., M.P.H., M.S., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Division of Hematology and Oncology. He specializes in myeloma, amyloidosis, and Waldenström macroglobulinemia, and serves as Director of Myeloma Epidemiology Research.

Dr. Khan holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and in mathematics from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, where he graduated summa cum laude. He received his medical degree with special distinction from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, while also obtaining a master’s degree in public health from Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed internship and residency training internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic and Lerner College of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He then served as a hospitalist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and an instructor at Harvard Medical School, while also obtaining a master's degree in epidemiology from Columbia University in New York. He thereafter acquired advanced training through a fellowship program in hematology/oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School. He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022.

Dr. Khan’s research interests include myeloma and other plasma cell dycrasias and cancer epidemiology.
