Objectives: 

1. Identify infectious risks and relevant epidemiologic exposures during the pre-transplant evaluation of SOT candidates

2. Describe strategies to prevent infectious complications before transplantation, including vaccination, treatment of latent infections, and optimization of modifiable risk factors.

3. Develop patient-centered education strategies to reduce infection exposures and promote safe living after SOT

4. Formulate an individualized plan for managing infectious risks that cannot be eliminated before transplantation

5. Apply the SCREEN → PREVENT → EDUCATE → PLAN framework to real-world pre-transplant clinical scenarios
