Olutoyosi Ogunkua
Dr. Ogunkua earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology at UT Southwestern and received advanced training through a fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesiology. Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2017. Dr. Ogunkua conducts clinical and translational research in obstetric anesthesiology. He has developed clinical expertise in caring for high-risk women while in charge of the anesthetic care for the level IV maternal care unit at Parkland Hospital.
Dr. Ogunkua obtained a master’s degree in clinical science at UT Southwestern. He is the proud recipient of the Dennis F. Landers M.D., Ph.D. Teaching Award, Obstetric Anesthesiology Fellowship Faculty of the Year, UTSW Anesthesiology Chairman's Recognition Award, Physician of the Year Runner Up at Parkland Health, and The Cary Council "DocStars" Award.
