Dr. Bradley Maron is a physician-scientist, clinical cardiologist, and Fellow of the American Heart Association. He is Senior Associate Dean for Precision Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and an Executive Co-Director of the University of Maryland-Institute for Health Computing in North Bethesda, Maryland, Fellow of the American Heart Association. Dr. Maron graduated from Williams College and Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University before completing the ABIM physician-scientist research pathway at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where he was a fellow in cardiovascular medicine and, later, joined faculty. More recently, Dr. Maron has co-led large initiatives building clinically-actionable large language models and other next-generation computational methods that can improve clinical care in real world settings and offset disparities across cardiovascular diseases. He is the recipient of numerous awards for research excellence, clinical expertise, and education, and he has been fortunate to receive funding from the American Heart Association, NIH, and many scientific Foundations. His wife of 25 years, Jill Maron, M.D., M.P.H. is a physician-scientist and neonatologist.
