Adnan Mir, MD, PhD
Dr. Mir completed his MD/PhD at the University of Cincinnati, having completed his thesis work in developmental biology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He trained in dermatology at New York University, where he served as chief resident before completing fellowships in pediatric dermatology at Northwestern University and dermatopathology at NYU. Upon completion of his training, he joined the faculty at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas as an assistant professor in dermatology, pediatrics, and pathology. He joined Dermpath Diagnostics in Port Chester in August 2018.
Outside of the lab, he is on the faculty of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, seeing pediatric dermatology patients with the residents at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. He also teaches dermatopathology as a faculty member at Weill Cornell Medicine at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx.
Dr. Mir actively publishes in both pediatric dermatology and dermatopathology, and is particularly interested in their intersection. He is an editor of a textbook on Pediatric Dermatopathology, and has contributed as an author of numerous text books and dermatology reviews.
