Darrell Rigel, MD MS

Darrell Rigel, MD MS is a renowned dermatologist with over 40 years of experience in the field. He is a clinical professor of dermatology at the NYU School of Medicine, an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UTSouthwestern and a former president of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Dermatological Association. Dr. Rigel is known for his expertise in skin cancer, particularly melanoma, and his innovative approaches to early detection and treatment. He developed the ABCDEs for the early diagnosis of melanoma and has authored numerous research papers and contributed significantly to advancing the field. Passionate about education, Dr. Rigel has trained many dermatologists and remains a leading figure in dermatologic research and patient care.
