Nada Elbuluk MD, MSc Biography
Dr. Nada Elbuluk is a board-certified dermatologist and Associate Professor at the USC Keck School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Princeton University and her medical degree at the University of Michigan where she graduated with a Distinction in Research. While there, she received a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She completed her dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Afterward, she was a fellow and clinical instructor in the Dermatology Department at The University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves as the founding director of the USC Skin of Color and Pigmentary Disorders Program and Fellowship. She also serves as the Founding Director of the Dermatology Diversity and Inclusion Program as well as the Director of Curriculum Equity for the Keck School of Medicine.
Dr. Elbuluk’s clinical and research interests include general medical and cosmetic dermatology, skin of color conditions, and pigmentary disorders. She has given hundreds of lectures regionally, nationally and internationally in her areas of expertise including pigmentation, skin of color, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. She has received several grants to support her research and has published numerous publications in high impact peer reviewed journals, dozens of book chapters, as well as serves as section editor for the widely used Review of Dermatology textbook and the upcoming 3rd edition of the Taylor and Kelly Skin of Color Textbook. She is the co-author of the Taylor and Elbuluk Color Atlas and Synopsis for Skin, a seminal textbook teaching physicians and trainees how to identify and diagnose dermatologic conditions across skin types.
Dr. Elbuluk is also a recognized and respected media expert with over 200 media interviews conducted with numerous TV, radio, and print media outlets including CBS, NBC, The Washington Post, the New York Times, the Huffington Post and more. She has received numerous awards including the 2024 Best of the Best Top Doctor’s Award by Los Angeles Magazine, Castle Connolly Top Doctor Award, Southern California and New York Super Doctor, as well as the Super Doctors Rising Star Award. She recently received the WDS Volunteer of the Year Award and the prestigious USC Phi Kappa Phi Faculty recognition award. At USC, she has also been inducted into the AOA and Phi Kappa Phi Honorary Societies. Her work in health equity has led to her receiving an AAD National Patient Care Hero Award, the National Diversity Council Leadership Excellence in Tech Award and the Rock Health Top 50 digital health equity advocate award.
