I am a Manager of Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services at Parkland Health.. I have worked in the University of Texas Medical Center Internal Medicine Resident Teaching Clinic at Parkland hospital for the past 22 years. My colleagues and I have prescriptive authority and extensive experiences in managing patients with diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia according to drug therapy management protocol. I also teach pharmacy students, pharmacy residents, medicine residents and fellows, and mid-level students. As part of my job responsibilities, I am a Board Certified Ambulatory Specialist and a Certified Diabetes Educator. I also serve as chair of the Pharmacy Residency Advisory Council and Director of the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program. I have faculty positions at the College of Allied Health Physician Assistant Studies as well as with the Internal Medicine Department.
