Jue Wang, MD; FACP; Professor
Dr. Wang is a Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern, and a member of its Hematology and Oncology Division. His clinical expertise includes management of genitourinary cancers and developing novel strategies to improve therapeutic efficacy, prevent and reduce cancer treatment related toxicities. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2005, Dr Wang is a Fellow of American colleague of Physician, he joined the UT Southwestern Faculty in 2023. Previously he was Professor of Medicine and interdisciplinary oncology at University of Arizona College of Medicine, and professor of Medicine at Creighton University Medical school.
Dr Wang received his medical and master’s degree from medical college of Suzhou University and completed advanced cancer research training at the Institute of Cancer Research/ Royal Marsden Hospital, England, Sealy Center for Molecular Hematology and Oncology, at University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Galveston, Texas; subsequently, Internal medicine residency and medical oncology fellowship at UTMB.
Dr. Wang’s research interests focus on the understanding the molecular mechanisms that underline the advanced genitourinary malignancies, developing novel therapeutic strategy. His investigations have resulted in 120 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Wang is passionate about medical education and contributed to several medical textbooks related to the field of cancer medicine and infection.
Dr. Wang is active in several professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Physicians. Dr Wang have been recognized by cancer patients for the award which presents with physician, who demonstrated integrity and compassionate care. He has been voted by his peers as Top doc in medical Oncology 2014-2023. Dr Wang received numerus awards including patients’ choice Award by St Joseph’s Foundation, the silver certification of excellence from NCI for contribution to clinical research, SWOG cancer research Network Certificate of excellence in Clinical research.
