Amir Toor, MD
Amir Toor, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation and cellular immunotherapy for hematological malignancies, graft-versus-host disease, and transplant immunology.
Dr. Toor earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center and Affiliated Hospitals and gained advanced training through a hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplantation fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology and internal medicine, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025. He previously served as Medical Director of the Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at the Topper Cancer Institute at the Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Prior to that he had held faculty appointments at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL and University of Arkansas in Little Rock, AR.
Dr. Toor is a member of the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation.
He has delivered numerous presentations and published more than 200 abstracts and peer-reviewed academic articles related to his areas of expertise.
