Ayda Javanbakht, MD

Dr. Javanbakht is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she joined the faculty in 2024. She serves as the medical director of the blood bank and the medical director of collection apheresis at Clements University Hospital.
Dr. Javanbakht completed her residency in pathology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in transfusion medicine at Emory University. Her clinical and academic interests include transfusion medicine, apheresis, and the optimization of blood product utilization and safety in complex healthcare settings.
