Stacy Pritt, DVM, MBA, MS, CHRC

Dr. Pritt is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) who also holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and an MS in Managerial Science. Her additional professional credentials include Certification as a Professional in IACUC Administration (CPIA), Certification in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC), and Diplomate status in the American College of Animal Welfare (DACAW).
With over 17 years of experience managing research compliance programs, her responsibilities have included animal care and use, conflict of interest, US Food and Drug Administration pre-clinical testing, stem cell research, biosafety, and export control oversight. Her professional experience consists of positions in industry and academia including the Harvard Medical School where she was a faculty member. Additionally, she has provided training and regulatory support services for multiple companies, universities, and non-profit associations as a consultant.
Currently, Dr. Pritt serves as the Assistant Vice President of Conflict of Interest & the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas (UTSW). In this position, she is administers the conflict of interest, animal care and use, stem cell research, and export control oversight programs for one of the largest biomedical research universities in the United States. She serves as the Chair of the Conflict of Interest Committee and Designated Official for Conflict of Interest. She also holds an appointment as a Faculty Associate in the Department of Psychiatry (Ethics Division) at UTSW. As part of her institutional role, she also serves as a member of UTSW’s Human Research Protections Program Steering Committee, Learning Council, and Intellectual Property Advisory Committee.
Dr. Pritt is a sought after speaker and author. To date, she has given over 100 professional lectures, authored or co-authored over 50 publications including several book chapters, and participated in over 25 poster/platform presentations. Presently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the Americans for Medical Progress and Texas Society for Biomedical Research. She is the recipient of numerous awards for her training, speaking, and management activities.
