Gayathri Krishnan, M.B.B.S, M.H.P.E

Gayathri Krishnan is an assistant professor of medicine. She completed her ID fellowship in 2022 at WUSM. She finished medical school at Government Medical College in India and residency training at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas. She completed chief residency at UAMS and joined WUSM for ID fellowship in 2020.
Dr. Krishnan served as the ID Chief fellow for AY 2021- 2022. She also serves as the President and Curriculum Chair for the inaugural Fellows Council in the department of medicine, the site lead for Ambulatory Infectious Diseases Immersions, Director of the FWIM Trainee Leadership Development Program, and she is the founder of Women in Infectious Diseases online forum which amplifies and support incredible work done by women professionals in ID. She is also an elected member of Infectious Diseases Society of America’s Mentorship Workgroup and the IDSA’s ADE&I committee. Dr. Krishnan's passions include General ID, Medical Education across the learning continuum and Mentoring/supporting women trainees in medicine.
