Christopher Celano, Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School; Psychiatrist, Massachusetts General Hospital

Dr. Celano is a Psychiatrist and Associate Director of the Cardiac Psychiatry Research Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Dr. Celano’s research focuses on the development and implementation of interventions to promote well-being and health behavior adherence. He has served as the Principal Investigator of NIH- and foundation-funded studies to develop and implement health behavior interventions. He also has served as the Principal or Co-Investigator of multiple other projects related to health behavior promotion or the use of collaborative care to better identify and treat depression and anxiety disorders in individuals with heart disease. He has published over 120 articles, including over 75 original research articles and five meta-analyses, and he has presented the results of his work at both national and international conferences.
