Daniel Gonzalez Izundegui, MD
Dr. Daniel Gonzalez Izundegui obtained his medical degree at Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, where he graduated with honors. After obtaining his medical degree, he completed a research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic with a focus on metabolic disease, peptides, and energy homeostasis. As a resident at the Boston University Medical Center Internal Medicine program and part of the Framingham Heart Study Research Pathway, continued research in cardiometabolic disease and circulating metabolites. Started Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship in 2024 at the University of Texas Southwestern. Current interests include understanding inflammation and cardiometabolic disease.
