Michelle Butler, M.D.

Dr. Michelle Butler is a native Texan and Dallas surgeon who joined Glaucoma Associates of Texas. Dr. Butler graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University where she also received the Lechner Scholarship for academic achievement and was a Distinguished Scholar. She then enrolled at Baylor College of Medicine where she excelled as exemplified by receiving honors for the basic sciences, membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, excellence in cell biology and histology, and finishing as an honor graduate. During her ophthalmology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine, she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Butler also received the Goar Research Award, Schindler Award for ethics and humane standards, and earned a grant from the Lions Foundation for Sight Research. In addition, Dr. Butler is currently an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Outside of work, Dr. Butler enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
