Phillip Tenzel, MD
Dr. Phillip Tenzel is a third-generation ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastics, orbital surgery, and oculofacial cosmetic surgery. Dr. Tenzel received his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and then completed his intern year at JFK Hospital/Palm Beach Regional Campus of University of Miami. His training continued in New York City at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where he completed his ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in Adult Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology. Dr. Tenzel then received advanced training in oculoplastics, orbital surgery, and periocular reconstructive and cosmetic surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He joined the faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2022 and has been recognized for excellence in resident teaching and mentorship
