Joshua Gary, MD

Joshua Gary, M.D. is Chief of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service and an Associate Professor and Clinical Scholar of Orthopaedic Surgery at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He was born and raised near Dallas, Texas and graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2001. During his time at SMU, he met his wife, Kristen, of Richmond, Texas, and they wed on December 29, 2001. Dr. Gary received his medical degree and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. A fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore completed his training. He spent a decade at the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston before he was recruited to Los Angeles and USC in the summer of 2021. Kristen received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has had a career at McKinsey & Co. spanning more than 2 decades. They have three boys, Liam (18), Brooks (15), and Lachlan (9) and enjoy outdoor activities and time as a family.
