Nian Wang

Dr. Nian Wang received his B.S. from Wuhan University and his Ph.D. degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He worked at Duke University as a research associate and was promoted to assistant professor in 2018. Dr. Wang joined Indiana University School of Medicine as a tenure-track assistant professor in 2020. Dr. The Laboratory of Nian Wang, Ph.D., is focused on developing novel quantitative MRI techniques and analysis methods on CNS and musculoskeletal systems. The research group has developed advanced MRI techniques to detect the early change of Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and ASD, including UTE, multi-component T2*, quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM), and compressed sensing for high-resolution diffusion MRI.
