Darryl Brett Sneag, MD

Darryl Sneag is a Professor for Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and the Vice Chair of MRI, and Director of MRI Research and Director of MR Neurography at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Dr. Sneag's major clinical and research interests are sports, spine and peripheral nerve MRI and he is currently federally funded by the NIH to develop liquid metal radiofrequency coils for evaluation of thoracic outlet syndrome and to detect MR biomarkers of occipital neuralgia. He has specific interest in both qualitative, high-resolution vascular suppression techniques for peripheral nerve visualization as well as quantitative techniques, such as T2-mapping and diffusion, to assess nerve regeneration. Dr. Sneag works closely with physicians at the HSS Center for Brachial Plexus and Traumatic Nerve Injury to help guide operative and non-operative management.
