Guobao Wang, Ph.D., is Professor of Radiology at UC Davis Health and Co-Director of the EXPLORER Molecular Imaging Center. His research focuses on quantitative molecular imaging, particularly total-body dynamic PET, tracer kinetic modeling, and parametric imaging. His group develops methods to measure radiotracer transport and metabolism across organs and disease states, with applications to imaging inflammation, cancer, and metabolic and neurologic disorders, and an emerging focus on molecular transport imaging of vascular-tissue interfaces. Dr. Wang was an NCI Paul Calabresi Clinical Oncology K12 Research Scholar and a recipient of the NIBIB Trailblazer Award, and he received the 2025 IEEE Freek J. Beekman Medical Imaging Technical Achievement Award.
