Matthew Mckenzie Fleming, MD, MPH

Dr Matthew Fleming is a Trauma and Acute Care Surgeon at the University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine and Parkland Memorial Hospital. Originally from California, he completed his medical school at Boston University School of Medicine, including a year of Global Surgery experience in rural Nepal. He then completed his General Surgery residency at Yale New Haven Hospital followed by a trauma Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Miami- Ryder Trauma Center. He is board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He is a proud Associate Program Director for the UT Southwestern Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship and Associate Trauma Medical Director for Rees Jones Trauma Center at Parkland Memorial Hospital. His clinical interests are in quality improvement, implementation, improving systems for our critically ill and injured patients.
