Shanup Dalal is a palliative care physician at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He attended UT-Austin for undergraduate where he obtained a degree in psychology and pursued further studies at UT Southwestern Medical School. He graduated medical school in 2016, and went on to be a part of the inaugural Internal Medicine-Pediatric residency program at UT Southwestern where he served as chief resident. Following residency and prior to fellowship, he worked as a hospitalist at Parkland Memorial Hospital for 3 years. He completed his Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine fellowship in June 2024. His future occupational goals are to start a procedural clinic for Stage 4 cancer patients that need recurrent paracenteses/thoracenteses in order to save them from lengthy admissions.
