Samuel Parnell, MD
Sam Parnell is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and an Assistant Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Parnell completed his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and obtained his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2019 and subsequently completed a Chief Year Medical Education Fellowship at Vanderbilt in 2020. Dr. Parnell has specific interests in medical education, procedural teaching, quality improvement, clinical operations, and diversity and equity in medicine.
