ForwardJay V Pandya, MD
Jay Pandya, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern. He is fellowship-trained in Disaster Medicine and Global Health and holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Systems Sciences from the O'Donnell School of Public Health. Dr. Pandya has a strong background in clinical emergency care and a focused commitment to disaster preparedness and health system strengthening in both domestic and global limited-resource settings.
His work spans hospital-based emergency operations, interdisciplinary team leadership, and program development across preparedness, training, and policy. He has contributed to capacity-building efforts in settings such as Nepal, India, Rwanda, and Lebanon, and has presented internationally on topics including disaster communication, de-escalation, and radiation response. At UT Southwestern, he leads initiatives to improve operational readiness through multidisciplinary training, emergency planning, and public health integration.
