Audrey Kim, MD
Dr. Audrey Kim trained at Texas Tech in Amarillo, TX, in family medicine, and was board certified in 2020. She was exposed to wound care during her last year of residency and was interested in further pursuing a career in it.
She then briefly practiced family medicine in Sacramento, CA, after residency, but decided to specialize in wound care. She found an opportunity back in Texas, practiced wound care while learning that hyperbaric medicine was closely related to wound care for specific patient populations.
For the safety of her future patients and her own training in an unfamiliar field, Dr. Kim decided to pursue a fellowship in hyperbaric medicine. Given that this field of medicine, along with wound care, is not well known or exposed to primary care setting, she is interested in teaching future physicians in training about these specialties and the potential career paths associated with them.
