Sarah Hemeida, M.D., M.P.H.

Sarah Hemeida, M.D., M.P.H. is a Clinical Scholar and Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
She earned her M.D. from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center followed by residency at the University of Colorado and her M.P.H. from the Colorado School of Public Health. After a policy fellowship hosted by the Farley Health Policy Center and the Graham Center in Washington, DC. She completed a NRSA primary care research fellowship at the University of Colorado.
Dr. Hemeida’s work focuses on policies to strengthen primary care including integrated behavioral health, a robust primary care workforce, GME finance and medical legal partnerships. As a Scholar with the Farley Health Policy Center and board member of GME Transform, she advises on policy strategies to support advanced primary care.
