I am a first-generation doctor and immigrant from India. I speak 4 languages and am a published poet in Tamil, a South Indian language. I am board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. I am on the Board of Directors for Prana Holistic Foundation a charitable foundation in South India aimed at bringing equitable health care to low-income women in Tamil Nadu, India. in 2021, during the oxygen crisis in India, along with a group of like-minded people, we raised $250,000 facilitating the purchase, shipping and the logistics of delivery of oxygen masks and concentrators and other equipment to India. i am also on the Editorial Board of the ASA Monitor, the official journal of the American Society of Anesthesiology. I am currently employed as an anesthesiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
