Dr. Aditee Ambardekar was born in India and raised near Annapolis, Maryland.  She received her Bachelor's in Science from the University of Maryland, College Park in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics.  She then matriculated at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD for her Doctorate in Medicine Degree, which she received in 2004.  She continued her medical training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Anesthesiology followed by a Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadephia.  She later joined the faculty at CHOP and under the mentorship of Dr. Alan Schwartz directed the pediatric anesthesiology fellowship.  She also developed the simulation-based education program and a pediatric-specific MOCA course while there.  With the encouragement of her mentors, Dr. Ambardekar embarked on a Master's in Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania.  It was during this time she built her interest and trajectory in medical education.  Dr. Ambardekar moved to Dallas as a trailing spouse, also a physician, and joined UTSW in 2014.  Since she has engaged in the education mission within the department working with medical students, residents, fellows, and simulation learners.  She also is the anesthesiology liaison for the Burn Center and has a clinical niche in Pediatric Burn Anesthesia.
