Aaron Hauptman, MD
Aaron Hauptman is a pediatric and adult neuropsychiatrist. He is the Associate Director of Neuropsychiatry at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland where he is also Director of Education and Training at the Center for Developmental Behavioral Health. Dr Hauptman is the associate director of the Developmental Neuropsychiatry Scholars Program at Kennedy Krieger and Johns Hopkins, a post-graduate, 1-year training program for child psychiatrists and child neurologists interested in subspecializing in pediatric neuropsychiatry. He is also an assistant professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hauptman works with children and their families struggling with emotional, cognitive and behavioral symptoms due to a broad range of developmental and acquired central nervous system disorders, such as neuroimmunological conditions, cerebral palsy, neurogenetic syndromes and other diagnoses. He has a particular focus in working with children with pediatric neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Hauptman is dedicated to training the next generation of clinicians working in this profoundly underserved field.
