Tyler Jorgensen, MD

Tyler Jorgensen is a board-certified palliative medicine physician and assistant professor of internal medicine at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. After practicing community emergency medicine for over a decade and serving in several ED and Search and Rescue Medical Director roles, Dr. Jorgensen completed a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at Dell Medical School in 2023. His academic work focuses on the power of storytelling in healthcare and the power of music to help healthcare providers and patients alike. His creative writing has been published in the Intima and the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management. His ATX-VINyL record player project has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered and CNN.
