Bio for introduction:
Kanade Shinkai is a faculty member of the UCSF Department of Dermatology and is a full professor of dermatology. She specializes in medical dermatology and inpatient dermatology consults. She is passionate about medical education and has recently served as residency program director at UCSF; she now serves as the Vice Chair of Academic Affairs for the department. She has served as the current editor-in-chief of JAMA Dermatology since July 2018.
