Overview
The purpose of this presentation is to provide an update of the epidemiology of invasive aspergillosis, describe the strengths and pitfalls of current diagnostic tools as well as recommended interventions for primary therapy of invasive aspergillosis.
Target Audience
UT Southwestern faculty, fellows, residents and medical students, community physicians, nurse clinicians, physician assistants and nurses.

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Identify populations at high risk for invasive aspergillosis
- Describe the clinical manifestations of invasive aspergillosis
- Interpret the results of common diagnostic tests for invasive aspergillosis
- List the antifungals recommended for primary therapy of invasive aspergillosis
