Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Know risk factors for development of alcohol-associated liver disease.
  • Recognize and diagnose alcoholic hepatitis
  • Know the principles of treating alcohol-associated liver disease, particularly the importance of abstinence from alcoholic beverages in long-term survival.
  • Understand the approach to treating severe alcoholic hepatitis
  • understand the pathogenesis of alcohol-associated liver disease
