Purpose and Overview
This lecture summarizes the presentation, etiology and complications of hypoparathyroidism. Standard of care will be reviewed and novel PTH analogues will be discussed.
Target Audience
UT Southwestern faculty, fellows, residents and medical students, community physicians, nurse clinicians, physician assistants and nurses.

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Recognize clinical presentation and complications of hypoparathyroidism.
- Compare the limitations of conventional therapy to emerging treatment options.
- Discuss major advances in emerging treatment options and their potential impact on patient management.
