Purpose and Overview
This lecture will discuss trends in cardiovascular risk factors and evolving approaches to cardiovascular disease prevention based on new discoveries and new observations over the past 20 years. The information provided will be practical and actionable for patient care.

UT Southwestern faculty, fellows, residents and medical students, community physicians, nurse clinicians, physician assistants and nurses.

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Describe trends in cardiovascular disease risk factors over the past 20 years.
