Purpose and Overview

To provide a general overview of primary biliary cholangitis and an update on new diagnostic tests and treatments.

Target Audience

UT Southwestern faculty, fellows, residents and medical students, community physicians, nurse clinicians, physician assistants and nurses.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Know how to recognize and diagnose primary biliary cholangitis
  • Know the common symptoms of PBC and be familiar with options to control symptoms. 
  • Be familiar with first and second line treatments for PBC and how to use them in clinical practice.
