This presentation discusses the role that intestinal inflammation plays in spondyloarthritides. The discussion includes the description of dysbiosis and the alterations in bacterial species found in spondyloarthritis patients. Finally, therapies such as the use of probiotics are considered.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant should be able to
- Describe the range of conditions among the spondyloarthritides.
- Review the overlap of intestinal inflammation as is seen in inflammatory bowel disease with that seen in spondyloarthritides.
- Evaluate existing and emerging therapeutic options for spondyloarthritides.
