1) Explain the role of microglia in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis, including their involvement in demyelination, chronic active lesion formation, and neurodegeneration.
2) Relate microglial activation patterns to progressive disease pathology
3)Review imaging techniques used to assess microglial activation in vivo, including TSPO-PET and advanced MRI methods, and discuss their strengths and limitations as biomarkers.
