The purpose of this program is to provide a forum to review and discuss the clinical management of patients and to evaluate issues confronted by today’s physicians in both public and private clinical practice and medical research. The course material will be presented primarily through case studies, question and answer sessions, and video presentations. This two year rotating curriculum encompasses material germane to the training and practice of contemporary orthopaedic surgery. Content will be provided by both trainee and faculty orthopaedic surgeons, centered around the core competencies of patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, and systems-based practice. A regular schedule of cadaver anatomy lab sessions will supplement the classroom and clinical learning. Additional sessions regarding population health, value based care, physician wellness/burnout management, diversity in medicine, and billing/coding will be included annually.
