Summary: 

In 2013, Anne Efron suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at home.  She was discovered by her husband Dave, a critical care surgeon, who initiated CPR and began the cascade of events that was her odyssey through care and recovery.  This presentation takes the audience through that journey and along the way, reviews the history of CPR, defibrillators, and their special significance to the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Baltimore.

To review the current management of out of hospital cardiac arrest.
To review the history of CPR, implantable defibrillators and their relation to the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
