Brief description:
Over a third of Dallas-Fort Worth area residents prefer to communicate in Spanish. This elevates the need for healthcare providers, researchers, and community members to know how to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking populations. In this presentation, participants will learn the importance of using low-literacy materials to communicate health information and how to enhance the accuracy and cultural sensitivity of research materials when working with Spanish-speaking populations.
