Technical Requirements
  • Audio is required for the activity. 
    • If you do not have a microphone in your computer, please use your phone for audio (see information in GoTo Webinar e-mails) 
    • Please test your audio capabilities prior to the rehearsal. 
  • Headsets are recommended to reduce background noise and feedback. 
  • Webcams are recommended to engage with your audience.  
  • Please adjust the webcam to be at eye-level 
    • If you do not have a webcam, please include a picture of yourself in an introductory slide. 
 
GoToWebinar Notifications
  • You will receive e-mails titled “You’re a panelist for…” which will contain the JOIN WEBINAR link 
  • Notifications will be sent prior to your rehearsal and live activity 
  • Please do not delete these emails! You will need them to access the rehearsal and the actual session. 
 
Practice
  • Rehearsal will be scheduled by your CME Program Coordinator. 
  • At the scheduled time, please use the JOIN WEBINAR link from the Zoom email titled “You’re a panelist for…” for access 
  • Please email me your draft slides prior-to the rehearsal for upload to the webinar 
 
 
ENGAGE your audience 

Learners are more likely to engage in your presentation and retain information when presentations are interactive.

POLLS  

  • Please submit polling questions at the time of your final slide submission 
  • Insert the poll questions as a separate slide in the location to be presented 
  • Use multiple choice questions with no more than 4 answer options 
  • You may use in introductory poll as an icebreaker to engage your audience 

SLIDES

  • Draft slides are due prior-to the rehearsal for upload to the webinar 
  • FINAL slides are due 2 business days prior to the live event 
  • You will be able to advance the slides or the CME coordinator can facilitate

HANDOUTS

If you have handouts other than slides, please submit them at same time as your slides, so they may be posted for the webinar attendees to download at the time of your presentation. 

 
 
Day of Activity
  • Please log in to the webinar using the JOIN WEBINAR link from the Zoom email titled “You’re a panelist for…” 15 minutes before start-time 
  • Attendees are automatically muted, but have the opportunity to type in questions. If time allows for Q&A at the end, I can facilitate “unmuting” audience members to ask their questions 
  • The CME coordinator will introduce the webinar and go over technical details with the audience​
