Fatemeh Malekpour, vascular surgery; UTSW- CUH/PMH/VA/CMC
Dr Malekpour graduated from Azad University in Tehran, Iran and completed her general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at Beheshti University, Tehran, Iran. She graduated as the first female vascular surgeon in Iran in 2010. After completion of a fellowship in Milan, Italy, she moved to the United States. She completed general surgery at Bronx Lebanon medical center, NY, vascular surgery fellowship at UTSW, Dallas, and masters in Epidemiology at London School of hygiene and tropical medicine. She joined as faculty at UTSW in 2019. Dr Malekpour specializes in aortic pathologies, peripheral arterial disease, venous disorders and carotid artery disease. She is the medical director of Parkland hospital vascular lab and a member of international relations committee of society of vascular surgery.
