This weekly program employs various teaching formats to increase the knowledge, skill and professional performance of neurologic practitioners and trainees at all levels. The goals of the program are to: (1) develop a strategical approach to the diagnosis of complex neurologic disorders; (2) incorporate basic and clinical research findings in the understanding and treatment/maintenance of neurologic health and disease; (3) improve strategies for multi-disciplinary patient care; (4) address ethical and humanistic issues faced by neurology practitioners. Two conferences yearly are held jointly with the Department of Psychiatry. Presenters are experts are national, regional and local experts in their fields, as well as trainees under the supervision of faculty mentorship. Audience participation is incorporated and encouraged.
