Katy Lonergan
Katy Lonergan, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at UT Southwestern.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California and attended medical school at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, graduating in 2002. Internship and residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease were completed at the University of California, San Francisco between 2002-2008. She worked as a cardiologist at Mills Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame, CA and was on faculty at UCSF before moving to Dallas, TX in 2012. She has been on faculty at UT Southwestern since 2013. Clinical interests include general cardiology, non-invasive imaging, valvular heart disease, and women's cardiovascular health. Academic interests include education in cardiovascular imaging, particularly echocardiography.
